I see you heading towards me
on a wave,
in a sea of meaningless
faces.
I catch your eye,
as if it were a bottle
with a message in it
written just for me.
From your desperate
desert island home,
you scribble me
quick greetings
and hello's.
You let me know
that you are safe
and strong,
and that our love
is still as real
as ever.
I take your note,
and toss you similar
stories,
hidden in my dark
and serious gaze.
You capture them,
and whisper sweetly,
"Thank you,"
as we pass by,
and feel each other
fade.
