When in My Madness

When in my madness
I will wake,
a thousand deviled dreams
I take
out of my head.
I toss them down,
and down
they lie.
Twisted on the ground.
When you, in your confusion,
wake
to find my senses
gone.
My mind a mess,
my thoughts undressed
and howling
at the moon,
all stressed.
You take me
by the hands
and face,
and lead me
to a better place.
Your image floating
in my brain.
Your gentle words.
I am insane,
and have my human heart
to blame.
The wildness
of my love,
untamed.
When in my madness
I am sane
and sane and sane
and sane and sane...
