Section Disparu

Well, hello. Almost didn't have an entry for October, but here I am. My knee is in the way of my typing. Okay. That's better. Ummmm.... I finished that book I was working on. I mean I published it. I ordered a proof copy to.... proof. And then I'm gonna make it available for sale. I got the proof copy today. The colors on the cover are much brighter than I intended. But it still works cuz it's kind of a silly book. smile

Yesterday I checked an email address I'd forgotten I had and there were 799 spam emails in there. And that was IT. No legitimate emails. Pretty sad. So I deleted it. The spam and the email address. Sheesh.

The other day I saw a deer get hit by a car on my lunch hour. It was bizarre. It was busy four lane traffic. The deer ran like crazy through 3 lanes, amazingly missing the cars by inches (or probably feet, whatever). It ran in front of the car in front of me, then it ran to my right, and the car to my right ahead of me slammed right into it. It was so hard to see between all the cars, it was almost like a shadow. It had antlers. A male deer. Anyway, this red SUV thing hit it and the deer went flying into the air and flipped around and landed on the ground on the side of the road. Then it hopped right back up and started running along the side of the road. But I think it fell down or something. Collapsed. I don't know, traffic had moved past it. The red car stopped to turn around. The deer must have had broken bones and things. I don't know. It was so surreal. It all happened in about 4 seconds. Then later when I drove home from work that entire section of the road was blocked off by cop cars and traffic had to wind around the block through residential neighborhoods and such. It was weird. But I don't know if the road block was related to the deer. Hmmmmm. I can't believe he ran out into traffic in the first place. Wow. It was sad. We should have a wildlife preserve of some kind with the deer trapped inside it, but with miles and miles of open space to roam around in. And a little birth control. Geez. There are a lot of deer here.

Sigh. Anyway. For being away for a month and a half I don't have much news, do I? Nope. I says to myself. Heh.

Oh. I like Men in Trees. And Heroes for some reason. Which I didn't want to like because I had thought up a story very similar to it. I was a little freaked out to watch it. As if someone could come up with exactly what was in my head. Not so. It's very different. So, that's cool. I like Ugly Betty, but I find myself forwarding through all the parts without Betty in them. So, I don't watch it now anymore. Pfft. I like Studio 60. It's very smart and funny. And dramatic. Whatever. Plus it has Matthew Perry not being Chandler. And he's very good at it. Not being Chandler. And being this crazy obsessed writer, which I can certainly relate to. big grin What else is going on in TV watch? I, of course, like Dancing with the Stars. And Lost. And sort of ER, but that is getting damn boring. The ads say this week will be "an event" (or last week really), and then it's boring. And I do not understand where the fire came from. Was that the guy who swallowed kerosene? They didn't make that clear enough. Damn, I'm confused! Anyway. This concludes "The Week In TV with Chris Slusser".

I'm reading Memoirs of a Geisha. It is soooo coooool. I am about 20 pages from the end, though, and it has taken me forever to get there. Shocking things are about to happen. Or not. I don't know yet. But instead of finishing reading it, I am here with you chaps. And lasses. But I'll get back to it. Yup. As soon as I'm done here.

I am thinking I should become vegan again. For the cold and flu season. I really didn't like getting sick so many times last year. That sucked. And for weight loss and whatever else. Health issues. Cholesterol. My uncle just had bypass surgery. He's the same age my grandfather was when he died of a heart attack. And my mother and my sisters have high cholesterol. Soooo, I'd better watch it. Too much dairy. Not good.

And I should do yoga. I'm lazy, but I'd like my joints and spine to be in proper alignment. It's a good thing. So my hips don't crack when I get out of the car. It's creepy.

Old lady.

Hmph. smile Ummmm. Surely I have other news. Laundry tonight took only a half hour. Cuz I didn't want to waste quarters on drying my clothes. So I washed them and hung them up. Done. Pretty cool. My mother is having linoleum put on the back porch and new laundry machines put in and that won't be 'til tomorrow morning. So, for three weeks I've been using the machines in my building and going to my friend's house to do loads of laundry. Whoop! But that's done now. Yay! Back to normal. Or better than normal. New machines, man! The things that excite me.

Hey, I split that Mrs. Soffel video no one likes to watch into two smaller pieces. Mainly so all you people who don't care and didn't want to see it in the first place can just download Part One and see what you think. So you can know for sure you don't really like it. See? big grin Hehe.

Hey, I dreamed a little girl murdered a man last night. Actually, in a movie I was watching in my dream. Pretty creepy. Yeeks! Do not know what that means. In dream symbolism. But in fairness, he was trying to murder her first. She just got the better of him. Turned the knife toward him. Ick. The stuff in my head.

At least it's Friday. Oh, apparently WebRing is having a meltdown. Woohoo! I mean, I have to spend a few weekends now deleting webrings and combining webring pages, etc. etc. etc. And moving to Ring Surf with all the webrings that migrated over to there. Booooo! When did WebRing become such pains in the asses? I don't care if that's bad grammar. It needed to be plural! Hmm. Anyway. Should be fun. Woohoo. At least it'll be done. Not to mention, I'm not even sure what their new rules are. They are very funny with the language they use. It's pretty much a wait and see kind of deal. See what implodes, what they let me keep, whatever. Cuz I am NOT paying for webring use. PFFT! DUDE! See, now I am having a meltdown. smile Great.

Okay, my lovely new favorite show is about to start, so I'd better get to it. My favorite show of things currently on the air, I mean. Cuz I am still an Alias-o-holic with the DVD player. And, by the way, I am talking about Men in Trees. That's what I'm about to go watch. Okay. Tata. smile
